For Sean, knowing his limitations helps him manage his pain that often comes from his serve form of Sickle Cell Disease, a genetic disease that is passed down if both parents carry the trait.

As a toddler, Sean didn’t understand the pain associated with Sickle Cell and had to endure surgeries and blood transfusions. As Sean grows up, he has learned how to manage his disease.

While Sean is restricted on the activates he can play, he has learned to cope with his limitations. He is learning everyday new ways to overcome his disease.

CMN Hospitals Funds in Action:  CMN Hospitals funds support Child Life Services which provides Sean the opportunity to do his school work while he is in the hospital.
