Dessalyn and her brother Gabriel, share a bond stronger then most siblings. Gabriel’s bone marrow saved his sister’s life.

Now in remission having enduring multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and  complications from her transplant; Dessalyn hasn’t let cancer take away her upbeat outlook on life.

Dessalyn dreams of one day becoming a fashion designer. While she missed a lot of school while in the hospital, she has caught back up to her class and is grateful she is now healthy and can hang out with her friends.
