Chipping in for Children Raises $52,000

June 30, 2011

The 1st Annual Chipping in for Children Golf Tournament was a huge success as 144 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day of golf at Whitmoor Country Club on Thursday, June 23rd.  Hosted by Cliffedge Marketing in affiliation with Walmart, the Chipping in for Children tournament raised an impressive $52,000 to benefit Children's Miracle Network of Greater St. Louis (CMN) and its local partner hospitals, St. Louis Children's Hospital and Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center.

The field of golfers included representatives from Walmart and its vendors, the CMN Board of Directors, CMN Miracle Ambassadors, CMN’s young professionals group Champions for Children, and other supporters of the organization.  Following 18-holes of golf, participants enjoyed a delicious dinner, awards ceremony, and silent auction with fun and unique prizes.

Equally exciting, CMN was proud to announce that two of its Miracle Ambassadors also participated in Chipping in for Children.  After participating in and winning a golf tournament earlier that morning, 2011 Miracle Ambassador Audrey Koch golfed with her family in the Chipping in for Children tournament.  Also representing CMN was 2010 Miracle Ambassador John Kaeser, who golfed with his dad and friends of the organization.
